while y’all was running your mouth, complainin’ ’bout summer jam, i was in flip-flops in the south of france.
my good buddy jeff weiss asked me to contribute to his “summer jamz” series, so i did. i offered a mix (which is DOWNLOADABLE) and a few (okay, a whole fucking lot) of words on the songs curated on the mix, which includes some of my favorite things in the world (experimental punk bands, two-thirds of “the holy trinity of indie-rock lyricists,” female background singers, tiny vipers), and a lot more, like 50 cent’s only great song. i hope you guys enjoy the mix! and i do have to say that the post that accompanies it is literally the best thing i’ve written in months.
