one day back from a week-long vacation, jeff weiss comes back to the world of blogging and posts an insightful and brilliant interview with hip-hop legend pete rock, who mourns the loss of hip-hop’s fallen soliders, deads the rumors of his full-length collaboration with nas, discusses the nature of “chicken noodle soup,” and becomes one more on a long list of rappers who <3 radiohead. check it out. it’s a good read from the man who helped pioneer the boom-bap that hip-hop is so sorely lacking these days.
